"HEM BAHADUR MALLA HONOUR 2065" awarded to Mrs. Ambika Shrestha

Rt Hon’ble President Dr Ram Baran Yadav awarded the "Hem Bahadur Malla Honour 2065" to Mrs. Ambika Shrestha at a programme held in the Kathmandu on Baishakh 17, 2067. In his address, President Dr Yadav mentioned about PAAN's contributions in developing and strengthening public administration systems in Nepal. Mrs. Shrestha was awarded this Honour for her lifelong contributions to the hotel and tourism industry in Nepal. As a private-sector entrepreneur, she has made significant contributions toward popularizing Nepal in the international tourism market. She possesses successful professional leadership in the field and works for historical and cultural heritage conservation and development in Nepal. Her contribution has become even more relevant as Government of Nepal has announced the "Visit Nepal Year 2011". On the occasion, Chairman of Salt Trading Corporation Ltd. Mr. Laxmi Das Manandhar and PAAN President Mr. Vidyadhar Mallik spoke on the importance of the "Honour" programme. Mr. Kedar Bhakta Mathema, former Vice-Chancellor, Tribhuvan University and coordinator of nomination committee spoke on the process of the nomination. The other members of the nomination committee being Mr. Tirtha Man Shakya, Immediate Past Chairperson, Public Service Commission and former chief secretary, Government of Nepal, Prof. Chuda Raj Uprety, Former Chairperson Tribhuvan University Service Commission and Immediate President, PAAN and Mr. Vidyadhar Mallik, PAAN President and former Finance Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Government of Nepal.

"HEM BAHADUR MALLA HONOUR 2064" awarded to Mr. Mahavir Pun

Rt Hon’ble President Dr Ram Baran Yadav awarded the "Hem Bahadur Malla Honour 2064" to Mr. Mahavir Pun at a programme held in the Kathmandu on Bhadra 10, 2065. In his address, President Yadav referred to PAAN's important contributions toward improving administrative systems in Nepal. He also spoke about the contributions of Mr. Pun he made toward providing connectivity to the poorest of the poor. Mr. Pun was awarded the Honour for his contribution to the development of the information and communications technology in Nepal. Mr. Pun has developed and used innovative ways of providing connectivity to poorest of the poor in the remote hills of western Nepal. On the occasion, Chairman of Salt Trading Corporation Ltd. Mr. Laxmi Das Manandhar and PAAN President Mr. Vidyadhar Mallik spoke on the importance of the "Honour" programme. Dr. Bhoj Raj Ghimire, Chief Secretary, Government of Nepal and coordinator of nomination committee spoke on the process of the nomination. The other members of the nomination committee being Shambhu Thapa, Former President, Nepal Bar Association, Prof. Chuda Raj Uprety, Former Chairperson Tribhuvan University Service Commission and Immediate President, PAAN and Mr. Vidyadhar Mallik, PAAN President and former Finance Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Government of Nepal.
