Dhaka, Bangladesh – The South Asian Network for Public Administration (SANPA) held an international conference from October 25-27, 2024, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with a 14-member Nepali delegation participating under the leadership of the President of the Public Administration Association of Nepal, Madhuraman Acharya.
During the conference, President Acharya served as the coordinator for the plenary session, while former president Krishna Hari Baskota participated as a panelist. The Association’s General Secretary Dr. Dilip Raj Paudel and Rajendra Adhikari jointly presented a working paper. Treasurer Rajani Regmi also presented her paper at the event.
In addition to the main conference sessions, a side meeting took place between the Public Administration Association of Nepal (PAAN) and SANPA, where discussions were held on bilateral cooperation and collaboration.
During this occasion, President Acharya presented a “Token of Love” from PAAN to the SANPA President, symbolizing goodwill and mutual respect between the two organizations.
On this occasion, NASC’s Senior Director and SANPA’s Assistant General Secretary Trilochan Pokhrel delivered a presentation, playing a significant role as a panelist.
Nepali participants, including Jamuna Dangal, Lila Ballav Nyaupane, Pramila Gautam, Kirti Raj Subedi, Prem Giri, and Binod Bidari, actively contributed to the conference.
This conference provided an opportunity for international discussions and collaboration on sustainable development and public administration issues in South Asia. The exchange of ideas among participants is expected to help address regional challenges and explore new development solutions.
